Although the cardboard mouthpieces are single use, eliminating any
transfer of germs, it is inevitable that bacteria will travel to the
monitor itself. Incorporating SteriTouch® universal masterbatch to
the ABS/TPU body of the monitor provided Bedfont with an
inexpensive solution to the risk of cross-contamination from both
exhaled breath and regular handling.
